FlNANCE.—Accounts amounting to £90 13s 4d were passed for payment. _ ' RANGER,—Resolved to draw the ranger's attention to tho stock which strays on the road after sunset. GAS.—A letter was received' froni the , "Wangamii Borough Council, quoting an ■estimate for supplying the borough with gas.—Referred-to the Gas .Committee. LOAN PROPOSALS,—A meeting of householders to discuss the loan proposals will be held in ihe> Wanganui East Schoolroom oh Thursday evenineat 8 o'clock. ■

BEAUTIFYING.—Ch Behefield informed the meeting that he intended presenting the -borough some trees and shrubs, to be planted where the Council sco fit. Mr Benofield was thanked for ms generous donation, and it was resolved to plant the trees on a rese ye to be decided later.

Tho meeting then adjourned for 14 ■days, when, a special meeting will be called for considering the question of constructing; another traffic bridge across the Wanganui River.
