MANGAWHERO ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary monthly meeting of the Mangawhero Road Board was held on Saturday, July 4th. Present: Messrs D. Mason (chairman), Hamilton, and Speed.

UPOKONGARO FERRY—OnIy one tender, that of Rupuha Himona, was received for the lease of the ferry, and is was resolved to accept samo CORRESPONDENCE—Iho following inward correspondence was read:— Letters from Commissioner of Crown Lands, forwarding schedule of thirds and fourths; Chief Surveyor of Department of Roads, asking for a return of roads and bridges; Receiver of Land Revenue, re fixed deposit; Valiier-Gen-oral re annual subsidy; clerk of Mataongaonga Road Board re River Bank Road: secretary of Harbour Board, and D. Fleming, ro road at auarries. — RIVER BANK ROAD.-The foreman's estimate of cost of metalline this ioad, £182 2s, was received. UPOKONGARO DEVIATION.—A letter was read from Messrs Dix and Marchant, forwarding plans and specifications for tho proposed deviation.— Resolved, on the motion of Mr Speed, that the Chairman be authorised to interview the surveyors, and arrange with them to call for tenders for the proposed work, returnable before next meeting.

ACCOUNTS—Accounts amounting to £96 9s lid were passed for payment.
