SCULLING.
"PERRY" HANDICAP SCULLS
Last evening the final heat of the second round was decided, when T. Anderson (1550 c.) beat N. Christiansen (2sec.) by a length and a half. The weather was altogether unfavourable to good sculling, and, 'owing to the choppy state of the river both boats shipped a considerable amount of water, and their occupants had a rough trip over the course. Christiansen, -who -was gradually overhauling his right opponent, appeared to fall behind slightly after pass- ■ ing the groyne, and thereafter could not reduce the gap to less than Ljr , length's. ■, ' ~^The .following is the result of the draw for the third round, -which takes place this evening:—Jß- Prideaux (6sec.) meets T>. Oorl>v (scratch1) at 5, T>. Dixon (4sec.) meats T. Anderson, (losec.) at 5.30, R. H. Allen a bye. As the nights are divvwirig in competitors are requested to be punctually at the cost.
