FREEMAN R. JACKSON AND CO.'S STOCK REPORT.

On the 26th ult., at Ohakune, we held a clearing sale of stock, etc., on account of Mrs. Keer.'" The attendance was good, and bidding free throughout. All classes of stock sold readily. At our Wanganui sal© on the Ist inst. our yarding consisted of, 430 mixed cattle, 7500 sheep and 50 pigs. Although the cattle on the 'ivliole were not a good lot we had fair competition and sold several lines in buyers' favour. jNo good classes of steers yarded. We had a full entry of.sheep. The demand was good for all classes of fats; also'for forward wethers and forward empty ewes. A nice lino of wethers oi\ account of Hessrs Wyley Bros, made 14s 9d (tho top price of the day). Other similar lines made from 13s id to 14s, lowcondition sheep selling in tyiyers' favour. We sold a large proportion of the entry during the day. No quotable change.in the pig market. .'At Waverley sale, on the 3rd inst., wg yarded 480 mixed cattle and 8000 sheep. We had a large attendance, several outside buyers being present. Cattle sold fairly well, especially steers and bullocks ready for fattening paddocks. All young cattle of good class found ready purchasers. The sheep yarded—on the whole were a good lot, competition was keen throughout, and practically tho whole of the entry sold at auction. A nice line of fat and forward 4-to'Oth wethers from Mangapapa estate fetched tho highest price of the season, viz.. 15:5 Bd. Other classes of sheep madt full values.
