Very serious developements haio occurred in connection with tie disputo which . has existed ■'[•■"• some time between the wharf labourers and some of tho coastal companies regarding the employment of non-umoii ists at their wharves, the result hciivj that a general call-out of the waterside workers was announced late to-nighi. Tho ballot almost unanimously favoured not handling any cargo in company with non-unionists. After midnight tonight the position was critical, and ;t is feared it may involve a general strike. ■
