An appropriation .by ballot was held in the society's offices, Ridgway Street, last evening. Dr Hatberly pre-sidcd. Tliere was a. small attendance of mem~ bers. Mssrs- T. Kckson and G. J. Harris were appointed scrutineers. The following wee tlie suer>ps.sful numbers : 857 £300. SG4 £150, 916 £300. The owners of those shares were dpclared entitled to free loans of the amounts specified above. The meeting then, terminated.
