The Te Oran,ga Home inquiry was -continued this afternoon, when eviddonce was given by Mrs Bean, relative "to tlie girl over whom some difference -arose recmtly between the matrons of the Samaritan and1 Te Oranga Homes. M'*s Bsan stated that Mrs Braviting had idelaiyed foi'warding a favonrabls report on the gii'l Miss Early, matron of the Samaritan, Horn© for a week, and was -said to be prejudiced against the girl. The second' witness was thcvgirl herself, who stitcd that elie was badly treated at the Home. The food was bad and; insufficient,"and the continual ungyina: of attendants was unbearable. "She admitted1 t%iat she had' a violent temper, and that she onrivrelled with' the girls as well as staff.
