Received March 11, 1.7 a.m. SYDNEY, March 10. • In tho House of Assembly, Mr. McGowen moved an amendment to the Addrcss-in-Reply, censuring the Government for its action in connection with the recent Harbour Trust appointments. These appointments included the transference of Mr. Keele from the presidency of the Water and Sewerage Board to tho Harbour Trust. - Tho motion really aimed at this appointment, which caused a lot of political feeling and wrangling. Tho Hon. Mr. Wade, in replying, vigorously defended the Governments action.
Received March 11, 1.7 a.m. BRISBANE. March 10. In tho Assembly, Mr. Maughan, Labour nominee, was elected Chairman of Committee by 36 to 15, the Government and Labour Parties combining against the Opposition.
