CORRESPONDENCE.—The correspondence for the last month (inward and outward!) was read AMBULA-NCE.-Froni the Town Clerk of Wangauui, stating that tho Department of Public Health had approached the Wanganui Borough Council on the matter of obtaining an ambuLauoe fop* conYeyiiig persons, siifferinpfrom lnfectipt^ diseases to th«hospital • It was also; stated that the-M&yor proposedl to convene a meetikg^dijlegates jfrom all the losal bodies interested to tonsider the advisability of procuring an .ambulance, each lccal body to contribute pro; rata. -The Towri Clerk ask-i.G-d Avhether the.. Town. Board would appoint a delegate.—lt was moved that' the Chairman be the Boaad's delegate. DRAINAGE AND WATER SUPPLY --Resolved to hold:: the poll on the drainage a.nd water supply loan scheme on Friday, 17th. The. DRAINAGE.-Asked whether the drains would ba laid in tho middle or side of thoToad, the Chairman replied that they wsuldirb3ilaid at the side of the metal. -■:■•'■=.
VALUATION.—The Clerk was appointed to valuie the encampment flats, which aro about to be sold.
