LONDON, January 8. 'ihe "Sportsman" expresses gratification at tho generous and truly sportinnrecognition by Australians of the splendid, steady, nervy play of the winning Batsmen.
The "Daily Mail" praises Humphries, Barnes, and Fielders' magnificent display of nerve and pluck, and says the match was won by sheer resolution and dogged determination. It was the greatest victory among test-matches.
