AUCKLAND, November 30. At ia meeting of the members of the Farmers' Union to-night the President delivered an address adversely criticising the Land Bill. The follwing motion was proposed: "After reading the published reports of the speech delivered at Onehunga by the Minister of Lands, thus meeting of farmers- records its emphatic protect against the provisions of the Laiid.Bill, which makes; it impossible for future settlers on Grown lands to acquii^e the freehold of their holdings. It considers the lease without the option to purohiaso will be un&atisfiactory to siettlei-s, «nd detrimental to the best interests of the State, as tending to discourage settlement."
