Mr Thomas* James Dickson, aged 71, nn old and well-known Gisborne resident, is dead. Tli© Hon. Dr. Findlay will have control of the Registrar-General's office, ihe Government Life and Accident Insurance Departments, and the. State Fire Insurance Department. Mr W. Gray, Secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department, is again confined to his house through illness. The following changes in the staff of the Stock Department have been decided upon:—Mr J. Duncan, Inspector of •Stock at Palmerston North, will succeed Mr Clifton, Inspector in charge at Auckland. Mr Duncan will be succeeded at Palmenston by Mr D. Fleming (Gisborne). Mr G. H. Jenkinson (Masterton) -will act as Inspector at Nelson, and 'will be succeeded by Mr Wayne, of Hastings. Mr Hubbard, of Nelson^vill be located at Cartei'ton, /vice Mr Huddleeton transferred to the Thames to succeed Mr Graham, who is to take over the Hastings district, ■ vice. Mr 'Wayne. The Hawke's Bay district •be divided into two parts. Mr W. Miller, present Inspector in charge at Napier, will take over the northern part, above the Wairoa district, with headquarters at Gisborne, and Mr Ross (Hamilton) the southern part, •with headquarters at Napier. Mr Kerr, of Kihikihi, will succeed Mr Ross at Hamilton, -while the rabbit agent (Mr R. Al~sander) at Cambridge has been raised to the rank of Inspector of Stock to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr Fraser. Mr Alexander will 'bo located at Te Euiti, and will have charge- of the district formerly under Mr Kerr.
