Per Press Association. CHRISTaBUROH, January 29. The police returns for 1905 for the Canterbury and North Otago districts, show the total number of offences reported to 'be 3560, as against 3913 for the preceding year. , The total number of persons apprehended and summoned /was 3438. There were decreases for all the most serious offences, and for drunkenness, in which .the number of offences reported was 1537, as against 1889 during 1904. - ■ -
