OHRISTOHURCH, January 29. Tlie following paragraph has appeared in the public prints of the Colony:— "It. is I'iimourad that Mr Mclntcsh, General Manager of the Bank'of New Zealand, is severing his connection with the- Bank owing to some difference of opinion with respect to t)he Government banking account." '~ ..' The Chairman of the Bank of New Zealand (Mr F. De C. Malet), for himself and his colleagues, emphatically denies the rumoair circulated" as above as to the resignation of Mr GViclntosh being eausad or brought about through any difference of opinion respecting the Governmertt accounts. . . • .. ■. - ■
