NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENTS.
Owing to the very heavy pressure on our space, a considerable number _of letters havo been delayed in publication. These will appear in the earliest possible opportunity, and, in order to prevent a further block, we have decided that all letters sent in from now until after the election, except those dealing solely with general principles, mmJb bear the signatures of the writers for publication. This will no doubt, in somo measure, check the flood ot correspondence. With ono exception, all letters relating to Parliamentary candidates havo been published. The exception is a letter signed Disloyalty," severely traversing in a personal "" manner the action of one of the Government candidates. That letter is too offensively personal for publication; even with the writer's name attached. The prohibition of anonymity in so far aa all perstonal correspondence is concerned is, we think, highly desirable during the last few days of the contest. To those of our readers who may havo something to say on broad questiona of politics or on the burning topic of "no-license," we have only two words to say—bo brief.
