Before the Lands Commission, the witness Fishec gave evidence in connection with the refund of £500 in fees for a lease which Willis failed to secure for him. Willis told him that Mr. Crick had saui Fisher would get the lease, adding: "And he has got. the money." Witness further stated that Peter Close, whom he had also employed jn the matter, said to him: "If you don't get the lease, Mr. Crick will have to give. me your money back."
