HOCKEY.
The following will represent the Technical School in their match against the Hawera Technical and High School combined at iHawera next Thursday, September 7th: —Forwards: Miller, Horsley, Kernohan, Calman-Haase; halves: Meuli, G. Haa-e, J. Williams; fiveeighth : H. Naylor; full-backs i. Brodie and Henderson. Mr. S. W. Oliver will referee. The above team will play in maroon and gold. 'Members'are reminded that the tradn leaves at 6.30.
The Referee's Association held the final meeting of the year at the T.Y.M.I. rooms last evening. Among other business got through, Mr. Payne was appointed referee in the final match, Wanganui-T.Y.M.I. The seccetary \va sinstracted to write to tho T.Y.M.I. thanking them for the use of their ro->m during the season.
HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
Tho usual monthly meeting of the Hockey Association was held last evening in the T.Y.M.I. Rooms. Present: Mr. A. Goldsbury £n the chair), (Max-wt-11), Messrs. Strange and Clare (United s), Payne and Coe (Wanganui), Wakely and Harris (Eastown), Christie and Solev (T.Y.M.1.), Miller and Gibson (St. Paul's), Horsley and Oliver (secretary) (8.V.M.).
GROUNDS.— The secretary reported that the contractor, Mr. Haase, was making good progress with the new ground. CORRESPONDENCE—Letters were read from the New Zealand Association ro the United Club's protest.
. FINAL MATCH.—The final match for the championship between Wanganui and T.Y.M.I. was ordered to be played on.Saturday next, at 3 o'clock. NOTICE OF MOTION—Mr. J. Butler's notice of motion, "That any new club joining the Association pay an entrance fea of one guinea, in addition to the affiliation fee," was caried. THANKS—The Association desire to thank the T.Y.M.I. Committee for the uso of trieir room for holding its meetings, and Mr. Geo. Spriggens for his offer in connection with the new ground*. In connection with the championship match on Saturday, admission will be free, but a collection will be taken up on behalf of the ground fund, and as this match is creating a lot of interest, there should be a largo attendance. The ground will be announced to-morrow.
