1 Mr. Rodweil, secretary oi the "VVauganui Bowling Club, has received the tollowing circular iiom the secretary ot the Northern Bowling Association oi New Zealand in connection with the li'o6 Tournament :— Dear Sir,—lt has been decided that the next tournament shall be held in Wellington, commencing on Monday, January 8, 1908, particulars regarding which will reach you later on. In regard to the procedure of play, I have been instructed by the Council to get the expression of all the clubs on the following :— 1. Is your club in favour of play being; carried out at the Touranment of 1906 on the same lines as that at the i last Auckland Tournament, viz. :— i Inter-club matches, limited to two j rinks from each club, to be divided into! convenient sections in order to curtail J play to three days—Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Pairs and singles to be played concurrently with the club matches, and to bo open" to players not engaged in the club matches. Thursday to be devoted to finals of all matches. Friday for a North v. South match, oi1 other matches that may be required. 2. Or is your club in favour—That foi the inter-club matches each club be entitled to send one rink for each 25 members, with a limit of six rinks. Pairs matches to be included in the programme as well. As tho mode of play is a vital point, it is most important that every club should express its opinion, and without delay, in order that matters may be put in training as soon as possible.
