When the Assembly met this afternoon the strangers' gallery was packed with unemployed. As soon as the proceedings opened -ft- galleryite rose and asked what stepskwere tp-be taken to helpfthe unemplojr|<jt- Xn. the middle of his speech, and while attacking Mr. Carruthers in ■ airing their grievances, a policeman interfered and removed the speaker. The gallery was then cleared amidst a babel of cries about starving wives, children, and demands for work. The parting shot was "We want work, not palaver, from ir embers."
