NEW YORK COTTON MARKET.
United Press Association—Copyright. Received July 12, 7.25 a.m. NEW YORK, July 11. Owing to a rise of 1£ dollars in the New York cotton market, the brokers refused to accept new business, except on a margin of five dollars a bale, with a view to creating violent fluctuations. Mr. White Wilson, secretary of the Statistical Bureau, and Holmes were prepaz-ing a cotton crop report with locked doors. Holmes, under pretence of rising the window blinds, signalled the results to a confederate opposite, who telegraphed to the brokers in New York.
