SYDNEY, July 11

The Murray and Yass Rivers are in high flood. All the lowlands are inundated. Timely warning was received by the bulk of the settlers, and stock was removed.

Some narrow escapes took place. Br..ats rescued people from their homes or clinging to fences.

Wodonga is partially under water. A family of seven took refuge on a table, there being five feet of water in the house. A horseman made seven journeys .to the house and rescued all.
