Tha New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report iii:der date July 7, as follows:— At our sale to-day we offered and sold 2,000 skins, 85 hides., 48 bales and 18 sacks wool, and a quantity of horsehair and tallow. There was a good attendance of buyers and brisk bidding. In sympathy with higher values ruling in the Home market, prices for wool, sheepskins, and fleece wool were from p. farthing to a halfpenny per lb. better than iat our last local sale, but crutchings were slightly easier. To some extent the London rise had been anticipated by buyers at our last sale, hence full advance was not reflected at to-day':! sale. Wo quote :— „?Merino ; fleece /crossbred fletefce 7J>d to B|d 'fblv iiile, erutchihgs b'rigkt and free'iron! seed 7|d to Bd, seedy g\(] to 7d, locks and pieces 2£d to 7d. Sheepskins: Merino and half bred 8d to 33d, medium and fine crossbred B|d to Sfd. coarse 7d to S$A } inferior and dead s'd to 6£d, lambs, inferior 5d to C-id. good 7d to BJd per lb., green skitis from 4s 6d to 6a lOd each. Hides: Heavy ox 22s 6d to 325, medium 20s to 255, light 14s to 18s; cow, heavy 18s to 225, light 12s to 17s, calf 2s to 5s 6d each; bulls, 18s to 28s each. Tallow: Medium, mixed, in casks, 18s to 20s 6d, and in tins 16s to 16s 6d pi-v cwt.
