PARIS, July 8

The submarine was raised to the surface and fresh air admitted to the men, who were alive, but they were not rescued as the crane broke while the vessel was being moved into shallow water, and sh"e was again submerged.

[Our cables on Saturday stated that tho submarine, owing to faulty valves, sank with 13 members of the crew, and that divers, hearing a noise inside the vessel, rescued the men.]
