DEATH OF A PIONEER SETTLER

CHRISTOHXIROH, July 7. G. H. Moore, an early settler in North Canterbury, died to-day, aged 92. Ho was owner of Glenmark and Wakanui estates, both of which he had disposed of before his death. He was a Manxman, and was a partner of Kerinode, the well known Tasmanian pastoralist. He also did a considerable amount of exploring work in Victoria in the early days. It was on Glenmark in the sixties that Moore discovered a considerable quantity of moa remains, some of which form part of the collection in tho Christchurch Museum.
