UPPER WANGAEHU ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of tlia above Board va* held on Saturday July 1, at Mangamahu. Present.—Messrs Lilbura (chairman), lod, Kenn-jdv, mid Wilson. Minutes.—-'lho n.inutes of vlie last meeting were read and confirmed.
General Rate.—ln accordance wiih a notice of motion given, the A-iirmaii moved: "That a general rdto <of ;!one penny in the poi nd be levied ov<V:l:he whole district for the yeaa* ending jMarjh 31, 1906."—Mr Tod seconded the motion, which was carried.
Mangamahu Bridge.—The committee appointed at last meeting i eported that it had accepted Mr Lyon's teinlor of -£927 17s for this work. —Action approved.
Rangiwaea Block. —Messrs Harp and F. Henderson waited on the Board as a deputation from the Rangiwaea ratep&yerijfiind requested that fresh application bo made for the Rangiwaea loan of £4000. —:01erk instructed in accordance with the wisher, of th© deputation. Correspondence.—An application was received from the Puma Road Board for the use of road grader free of charge.—Resolved "That the Purua Road Board have the grader when accessible, free, the machine to be returned in good condition." Supervision of Roads.—Resolved that the roads be supervised as follows —Main Road amd Hales' Road to Matawhitia Northern Boundary, Mr Wilson; Hales' Road, Mr Lilbiirn; River Road, Mr Kennedy; Ruanui and Rangiwaea and ■Eastern Roads, Mr Collier; Mangamahu Road, Mr Tod.: ''[ ' Accounts. —Accounts amounting to £121 9s 6d were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned.
