ANOTHER RECORD
Messrs J. Paul and Co. put up another record yesterday, the opening day of their !half-yearly cleaning sale. From an early hour till closing time, the establishment was tihronged with buyers, and, as before stated, a (record volume of business was bandied. To-day the same scene of activity prevails. Notwithstanding the crowds, however, there are still plenty of bargains left, and an early visit is (requested. An example of the price reductions will be found in the firm's advertisement in another column.
Messrs Fairburin and Silk want prompt buyers for two town properties, particulars of wlhich will be found in our advertising columns. To-day at 12 o'clock Mr J. H. Keesing wall sell the furniture and effects of Mrs John Keith, at her residence, Wicketead Street. In addition to a complete household, the catalogue comprises a fine collection of pictures, books, etc., and the whole will be sold without reserve. Bargains are still the order of Littlejohn's half-yearly sale. Bargains in millinery, bargains in jackets, bargains in1 dress goods, bargains in men's and boy's clothing, ban-gains iin blankets —in fact something for nothing on every purchase during the eale.
