. WELLINGTON, March 8. The Methodist Conference continued to-day.

The (report" on church properties regretted ian increase! in the amount of capital debt during th© past year, the increase 'being £1600, raising the percentage tftrom 9to 9£. At the same time the past year >has shown a striking advance in church (property. The total value'of properties was £225,291. The report was adopted. The church building and loan fund shewed that there are now 157 loans current, the number granted last year being 17, totalling £2301. The overdue instalments from each district are— Auckland £356, Wanganui £200, Wellington £247, Ganteribury £45, Otago £33. The committee trnefc that an earnest effort will 'be made to reduce the amount reported. The fire insurance report showed the guarantee fund to <be £13,260, and cash on deposit £1550. The report "was adopted. Later. At the Methodist Conference, the Native and Destitute Children's Education Trust's report w.as submitted and adopted. One clause declared1 that the time was now come when steps should be taken to establish a. Children's Home in or about Wellington, to fulfil the condition of the endowment.

An interesting discussion took place on the report of the reformation of the young men's forward movement. The report was adopted. It was also decided to 'appoint an organisation agent to hold evangelistic missions for men. The appointment of ian 'agent was deferred till Thursday. ,

The- Wellington Committee of Manage-, ment was appointed.

An appropriation was made for the training of six European students for the ministry at Prince Albert College. The ;Rev. G. A. Buttle (Auckland) was reappointed treasurer of the Theological Institution.

The Rev. J. H. Simmonds was heartily thanked for his services, and reappointed Principal of Three Kings College. A Sunday collection was requested to be made in all churches during the year in aid of this College, which requires to 'be rebuilt.
