Ca*'h Statement.—General account, credit £1704 los. 9d.; maintenance account., credit £1190 lls., lets liabilities £372 16s. lid. TEACHERS. Resignations Accepted.—L. B. Rim-m-sr, Ashhunst; G. Hughes, Pipir ki. Appointments. — Warrengate, . Miss O'Brien; Ariamobo, Mi&'J Mclntyre; Bulls, Misci A. H. A. McEwen; WaitoI tara, Mi?s Scheldt; College Street, Miss | Yortt, 4th in'-itant; Campbell Street-, Miissea Bryco, F. Scott, Lama Janreson, and J. Chapman, pupil teachers. Nikau.—The Chairman was instructed to close the Nikau school should the attendance be insufficient to warrant it b^ljßig kept open, and to terminate tha teacher'a engagement. Glen Nev's. —A deputation from Glen Nevis attended in reference to the building of the school on tho new sita, and it was decided to havo the work proceeded with as soon as possible. Kaukatsa. —A deputation of all the parents in the Kaukatea district waited on th© Board in reference to tho erec-t-ion of the school there, and it was decided to proceed with the erection of the school as soon as possible. Hawera.—Miss Baker was granted six months' -Leave without pay, Mass Macintosh to relieve in the meantime. Mangaweka.—Mr. E. W. Tompkins wa.J granted Leave of absence, Miss Groom to relieve in the meanwhile. Leave of absence was granted to Misser; Yortt and Elmslie. Accounts amounting to £52 9s. sd. wer-a passed for payment. Tho Buildaig Committee reported:— Hawera, Burton's tender of £9 accepted foi- partition; Kiwitea, £3 10s. tender accepted for repairs;. Matarawa, £7 ..granted for repairs; Kaitoke, £2 granted for porch, and £4 15s. for painting. Wanganui Girls' School. —It was decided to apply to the Education De-.j partment for permission to instruct the gits in the secondary <£asses of tho District High School. Wanganui Technical School. —It was decided to again urge upon tho Department the necessity for additional school accommodation. National scholarships were awarded to D. A. Taylor, Waverley, and Leila Peniberton, Aishhurst. Music. —It was decided to ask the Government to allow F. Hutchens, of Hawera, who intends goong Home for further tuition in music, to bd"A his Board schoi'larship in the O^d Country. Lytton. Street.—-It waa decided to apply to the Education Department for ,'tlie . l-ent of a room for Lytton street schoiiars. Committees.—Mr. Adams' namo was added to thG Boundaries and Reports Committees. Wectmere —The Board to pay half coit of addition to echool -gr-o-und if settlers will pay half.
