Great damage has been done to the crops in th© Clarenoon, Lallal, Smeaton, Climes, and Macedon, districts'. Three deaths from heat apoplexy took place at Bendigo, where the thermome•fteir registers 114 degrees in the Bhale. The fires are causing much devastation. ■

Received January 16, 0.47 a.m. MELBOURNE, January 15. Reports of intense heat and bush fires ■continue to come to hand. There are sevefal more deatdis from the heat. Several bridges on the Trewalla property and the Streaton, Biyhevale, and Emu Stations have been swept of grave, and hundreds of sheep and miles of fencing^ destroyed.
