The Stormbird is expected to arrive -from Wellington early this morning. In the "Manchester Guardian 1' of the .11th u!t. appears a large-sized Uneblock representation of the cargo steamer Suffolk, at present engaged in the New Zea-land-West of England tuade. The picture, which -is nearly the'full width of the page, is published for the reason that the Suffolk is the first ocean-going twin-screw steamer to visit the port of. Maiichester, and is one of .the largest vessels that ihas ever navigated the Manchester Canial. The picture shows that the Suffolk's masts had to be shortened to enable her to negotiate the canal bridges.
