Per Press AssocLatooai. WELLINGTON/December 1. At a meeting of the City Council tonight, a letter was read from the Premier, poiaiting; out that there was no municipal inspection of scaffolding used in connection with buildings, and asking that a bylaw be passed giving some •■municipal officei" authority to make such inspection. ' It was decided fo reply that no Act gave the Council power to interfere with scaffolding erected anywhere, excepting on the Council's own land, Or la'bout the footpaths for erection of such plans. Builders .have to adhere to the City Engineer's plans.
