Judge ■Wffliama dismissed the appeal of Captain Fleming, Mercantile Superintendent, against the Mag.istirate's (Mr. Graham) judgment acquitting the captain of the Weetralia on. a charge of a breach of tho Steamers Act.by caiTying nine firemen and sax trimmers instead of nine firemen, three trimmer?, and three greasers. Judge WiEiams quashed the conviction by Mr. Graham, S.M., for a Avix>ngful statement made in regoixi to obtaining a railway cowcession ticket, holding the by-law was insufficient and required a new one. ..... .■..•■;
