WELLINGTON, December 1. Mr. James Wallace, at one time General Manager in Wellington of the Manawatu Railway Company, died somewhat suddenly yesterday morning at Shannon. .

A married woman named Frances Banks was seen to disappear from the breastwork into the harbour by a Syrian named Habib, who couM not siwim. He pluckily jumped in and managed to support her tail rescued. The woman is in the Hospital, and it not yeb out of danger.

George Warren, aged about 27 years, an employee of ike Electric Lighting Syndicate, was electrocuted to-night, while attending to the switchboard at the Company's station in Harris Street. Wiarren was . formerly an electrician in (the torpedo corps. The body was removed to the morgue. Death was probably instantaneous.
