A BIG ADVANCE IN PRICES

AUCKLAND, November 29
At the first wool sale held here prices showed an 'advance, fully averaging 2d pea- lb. all round, some clips realising 3d above last season's opening rates. Two lots of half-bred were passed in at lid to Hid lb. The average prices were —lnferior 7d to 7^d, long jvool 8d to 85-d, coarse crossbred B^d to 9d, fine crossbred 9£d to lOd, pieces 6d to B^d. The sales totalled 2500 bales.
