The Hon. G. H. Reid informed the House that the Government were un,abte to accept the Senate's amendment in tho Arbitration Bill1, granting preference' tio Unionists.
Mai Watson regretted that the Governments had only accepted the minor alterations and a-ejected those of import-1 aintce.

SYDNEY, November 29
A crisis occurred to-night over the action of the Council in amending the Stamp' Duty Bill. The Government were irritated over the Council' amending the Harbour Raibeis Bill last week, which was regarded as a. momey Bill. The representative of ilhe Government in the Council secured the adjournment of the Stamp Bill for a week to emable iHie Government to consider the situation*.
