Bonnet Biu-leigh learns that after the occupation of Mukden and Saghalien the Japanese are prepared to accept peace on a 'basis, of an indemnity of one hundred million sterling, the transfer of Russian sjhi-ps in Chinese waters' to Japan, and the formation of an intercolonial syndicate 'to work ithe Manchurian railways on commercial lines.
