The Presbyterian College Site Bill (Dunedin) and '''Crown Grants Act Amendment Bill passed their final stages. The Testator's Family Maintenance Amendment Bill (Attorney-General), providing for the computation of duty on estates, was read a second time without debate. . '
The Police. Offences Act Amendment Bill (Attorney-General), regulating the hours of closing of public billiard'rooms, providing for the punishment of persons found therein during closing hours, prohibiting the use of words denoting Government patronage of any business without authority, and further regulating footpath traffic, was read a second time after a brief discussion=
The Council rose at 3.30.
