Wanganui A.A, Club
At a meeting of the above Club, held last evening a,t the T.Y.M.I. Club Room, about fifteen members were present. Considerable discussion took plaoa re-a proposed match between the Palmerston A.A. Club and tlia local club. It was decided to hold a series of trial races in order to ascertain who should represent the club in the different events. The following names were received1:— . *
100 Yards.—Slipper, Loftus, E. J. Williams!, A. B. Williams, Saunders, Wixcey, Pownall, D'Arcy, Meuli, Carver, Brodie, Dix, Craig. 25C( Yards.—Same as 100 Yards, with omission of Craig.
440 Yards.—Slipper, Saunders, Pownall. Goldsbury, Remington, Astlev. Carver, Laiigridge, Loftus. E. J. Williams. A. B. Williams, Soler, Derungs, D'Arcy, Dix ; Brodie.
880 Yards.—Saunders, Pownall, Golds bury, Astley, D'Arcy, Langridgei, Williams. Soler, Denuxgs.
One Mile.—Pownall, Laugridge, Golds bury, Soler, Derungs, Graham, Spurdle.
Three Miles.—Same ass One Mile. Long Jump.—G. Pownall, Saunders Dunkley. Bailey, Craig.
High Jump.—Saunders, Dunkley, Bailey. N. Pownall; Craig.
120 Hurdles.—Saunders, Bailey, Craig. 440 Hurdles.—Saunders, Bailey. Craig.
