Press Association—Telegraph—Copyright. SAN FRANCISCO; February 9. It is, feared that the Friendly Islands disaster is worse than the Society Islands Eight hundred deaths occurred at Hao kikuera and Marakau alone. Eight whites were drowned. Only those who climbed tall trees escaped.
