A COLONY TO BE FORMED. Received January 22, 10.25 p.m. LON.DQN, January 22. The Elder, Dempster Company is to convey two thousand British, fanners and agricultural labourers to Canada, where they will found eighteen townships im tfae NortH-west Territory. Each family will receive 160 acres and) other privileges, enabling them to constitute a special British settlement.
