LONDON, September 50. The Hon. J. Chamberlain writes that the Government are unable yet, for reasons previously stated in Parliament}, to fix the war contributions of the new colonies. The King's South African medal recognises services in tie later phases of the campaign and long service in ttoe field. CAPETOWN, September 30The Assembly adopted the Select- Commiittee'i) i-ecommendiation that the fine of £500 be restored to Schonnaai, a member of the House, who, during the war, was sentenced to six months-' imprisonment of fined for not furnishing information of the enemy's whereabouts. He protested his innocence. *
