DIX'S GAIETY COMPANY—TO-NIGHT

Th.'s evening at the Opera, House Mr. P. R. Dix will introduce to a, local audience his Nol. 2 Touring Company of English, American, and Australian vaudeville artists, and from all accounts a, really excellent evening's entertainment may be expected. This is the combination which recently aitftracted crowded houses at the Theatre Royal, Wellington for three weeks, and this shouiu be a sufficient guarantee as to the company's drawing powers. Of course much interest is evinced in the appearance here if Miss Lizzie Kirk, the famous English comedienne, who is undoubtedly most r-oj'.lar ><*• tisfr ever introduced to the colonies. Mr. Frank Leon's dancing has won for him the woirld's championship, so M& turn should be worth going a long ..distance to see. The reputation Miss Molly Bemtly has gained in the larger c^n'.ves as a descriptive singer has preceded her to Wanganui, and her appearance should be a welcome one. Mr. Dixs recent importations from America include Harvey and Moms, a versatile comedy sketch teum, and their act is described* as most entertaining. Messrs. Pope and Saylesi are «fc> well known and popular that it is only necessary to state that they will reappear ittis evening in their latest specialities to attract a good share of patronage. Many other performers who have made themselves favourites in the larger centres are included in the present combination, amongst them being Mr. Chas. Howard, Australian baritone and stage manager; Miss Pearil Lovell, chaoming serio and dancer; Mr. Ted Saunders, character comedian; and Mr. H. Hawkins, R.A.M., musical conductor. Tlie tour sa far has been mat successful, and a large audience should greet the campajijy this evening.
