ATTACKS ON JUDGE KETTLE.
To the Editor.
Sir, —I feel sure all right-minded people in Wanganui must be thoroughly disgusted and indignant at the .scandalous attacks recently made on Judge Kettle. Coming from .such a source they, of course, have no weight, whenever, and Judge Kettle can afford t<i treat them with the contempt they deserve. It is, however, to my mind, to be deplored that a public officer of high standing should be subjected to so much insult. Judge Kettle is not one of those who flaunts himself o-n every occasion before the public, nor does he go about bragging of what he does, like some people I could name who are .so fond of telting all and sundry that "That is all my work." Fortunately for Wanganui, Judge Kettle is an officer who is at all times prepared to do his duty in the interests of the public, and regardless of consequences, and this is what certain people don't like.—l am, etc., ANOTHER CITIZEN.
