The Roumanian "Bulletin," befriending the Jews, publulhes Uetters deploring their persecution from the Archbishop of Canter-: bury and from the Marquis of Ripon, expressing deep sympathy. Mr Chamberlain wrote saying the1 Jews were among the most loyal subjects of the States wherein they lived. The impolicy of persecution irsueh a case almost exceeded its cruelty. Herbert Gladstone stated that it could hardly be doubted that Roumania would reconsider her ipolicy.
