The season was commenced with a small credit, balance of £2 165., and closed with a deficiency of £6 4s. lid. This was a very regrettable state of affairs, but it had not been brought about, by any neglect on the part of the financial officers. It was <i crying shame that individuals who call themselves men should join a club and participate in its games and then coolly forget a/i about the financial pa,rt of the arrangement, and the committee regret to have to aa;v that the club had members of (this description connected with it last year and it- is through the mean and contemptible conduct of these individuals that the club is found with a debit balance instead of a credit balance. The committee urged the formation of a Sports Protection Society. Regret at-the death of Mr. W. P. Stuart was expressed. New Members.—The fallowing new members were elected: Messrs. D. McLaren and A. J. White. Election of Officers.—The electionr of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. W. E. Goffe; vice-presidents, F. J. Jcmes, Grfdsbury, Thorpe, and Gilbey; club secretary, Luxford. .
