A case of accidental poisoning- occurred at Poosonby. A girl named Nereids Mcsts, 12 yeais of agie, was given a powt!.er intended to be burnt in rooms occupied by asthinatia patients, and! containing poisonous drugs1, instead elf liqaoi-ic* powder. The mistake was not noticed for two and a half houis, when the child complained of being cold. An examination of the drug shelf was then made, and the error was discovered. A doctor was sent for, arid an arrival found her in a critical state. The sufferer is still in a preeariout state.
