THE DRAPERS' CRICKET CLUB.

Judging by the interest taken in their first meeting, the Drawers'. C.C. is likely to be a strong organisation. Notwithstanding the bad weather, quite a number put in an appearance, and enthusiasm was rife. Mr Mather was voted to the chair, and the business usualy transacted at inaugural meetings -was gone through. It is evident that there are some dark horses likely to enter for the coining season's tussle. Cricket was the theme, and criticisms on the different cricket materials, and personal experiences related to prove the truth of contentions, make us think that the drapers' teams will need a lot of beating. The preliminary is to be got through smartly. Another meeting is called for1 Wednesday night in Dustin's Rooms. The officers elected protein, were Mr Bishop secretary, Mr Appleyard treasurer.
