Baptists' Mission Sale.

Ihe annual sale promoted by the Baptist Young People's Christian Endeavour society in aid of home and foreign mission work eventuated last night in the schoolroom. There was a capital display of useful and fancy' articles at the needlework stall, which found a ready sale, the MissY Carson, Loveday, E. Harper, and A. Beil proving very successful saleswomen. The lollie stall with its toothsome delicaci ~ under tho care of Misses Winslade, Gaze, and Christie, attracted .the young peopifc. in swarms, and the fair stall-holders were abe to report "sold out" before the sale was over. Misses -M. Christie, Edwards, E. Winslade, and Cotterill, and Mrs Purser had a busy time dispensing reTresl.nieiits from their stall. The flower stall was in charge of Misses Bcauchamjj. J time, an*! Huckstep, and Mr Holland, wh.) had a fine display and did good business. Misses Henderson and Breed had a family bigger than the old woman who live in « slice at the doll stall. The young men's stall of woodwork, hi charge of Messrs N. Christie and L. Grover, was speedily cleaned of its useful and fancy articles, while tho boys' fern stall, in charge of 6. Horsley, E. Austin, and E. Loveday, was very attractive. Altogether tho sale proved most successful, and the missionary societies will benefit very considerably as a result of the effort. During the evening an entertainment was given by the children, which proved most interesting. Action songs "The Washing Day," "The Burlesque Band," "John Brown," "White Sails," and "Stocking Mending" were capitaljly rendered, and recitations were given by Lucy and Dot Beauchamp, Grace and Olive Horsley. Pearl Han-is. Maurice Tremewan, and P. Dustin.
