SNOW AT ROTORUA.
AUCKLAND, September 11
Snow fell at Rotorua last night, and th'» morning the surrounding hills were covered with a thick white mantle. The railway line at Mamaku was blocked with about a foot of snow, and had to be cleared beforrthe express- could get through.
