Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, September 11. Margaret! Jones, keeper of an oyster saloon, was fined £10 and costs 28s for selling liquor without a license. , A second charge wasi withdrawn. Similar charges against S. and E. Gardham, of the Cafe Cecil, and P. and M. O'Brien, boafdinghouse, were adjourned for a w&ek. HAWERA, September 11. The young man Morris, who last week pleaded guilty to false pretences, was admitted to probation for three months on refunding the amount in question, and paying the police cost*. TIMARU, September 11. A young man named"1 William Kirk has been .committed for trial on a charge of burglariously entering Fergusson's carriage factory and stealing tools to the value of £1. NAPIER, September 11. In the Supreme Court, Adela Olsen was acquitted on the murder count, and was found guilty of concealment of birth with arecommendation to mercy. Sentence was d«fered until Saturday.
